It wasn't easy to distract from Beyoncé at the 59th Grammy Awards last night—it was her first public appearance since she announced that she was pregnant with twins, and she was wearing $12 million worth of diamonds around her neck—but Jay-Z's jewelry almost managed to do it.

The enormous diamond and onyx Panthère de Cartier ring that the rapper wore on his index finger stands out in every image of the couple. The ring, which was crafted in the shape of a panther's head, retails for $180,000.

The panther is one of Cartier's most iconic designs, and the jewelry brand has been crafting pieces in the shape of panthers since the mid-20th century. Cartier currently sells a variety of panther rings, but the one that Jay-Z chose to wear is one of the largest—and most expensive—variations on the design.
